Oh the weather outside is frightful,
but warm drinks are so delightful,
And since it’s the holidays,
Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!
The party doesn’t show signs of stopping,
The guests are still hopping,
The lights are turned way down low,
Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!
Happy Holidays friends and family! We know you are all busy with holiday events, get-togethers with family and friends, and of course that last minute shopping so we would like to help you out where we can…by providing you with comforting drink recipes perfect to take you from the holidays through New Years! Best of all, each recipe involves one of our favorite olive oils or balsamics. The perfect pair to this joyous time of year!
Espresso Balsamic “Shrub”
End the night with a yummy, espresso holiday drink (similar to an Irish coffee!) that would go wonderfully with sweet, chocolate desserts. One of our customers created this cocktail and we are so glad she did, because it’s amazing! The espresso balsamic is the main feature, but no more than a few ingredients are needed. Click here to watch Deb herself show you how to create this concoction!
Dark Chocolate Pot de Creme
Orange + Dark Chocolate is a dreamy treat that is basically a dessert and cocktail all-in-one. This pot de creme is topped with blood orange whipped cream for a unique, tangy flavor. Guess how the blood orange whipped cream is made?! With our flavored olive oil of course! Make the chocolate mousse ahead of time and get the quick recipe for the blood orange whipped creme here.
Cranberry Balsamic Royale
Perfect for ringing in the new year, this bubbly drink features a light cranberry flavor! Cranberries are wonderful for December or January parties when serving holiday drinks, especially when you can buy fresh ones at the market or grocery store to make a beautiful garnish. A drizzle of cranberry balsamic is great on a salad, but it’s even better in a prosecco cocktail! Click here for the ingredient list and directions.
If all else fails, feature sangria as your drink of choice! Who doesn’t love it?!
Not only can this recipe be made ahead (Yippee for not being in the kitchen when guests arrive!), but it has in-season fruit paired with our Blackberry Ginger Balsamic. Click here for the ingredient list and directions.
We wish you a happy, entertaining and joyful holiday season with your loved ones and a wonderful start to 2018 as well! Cozy up by the fire with the ones that mean the most and enjoy a comforting holiday drink!
